The Agriturismo La Ferrera is a piece of paradise between the Turano Lake and the Salto Lake, In the heart of Mount Navegna Park, between the regions of Lazio and Abruzzo.
Our location offers hundreds of miles of dirt-roads and mule-tracks and an environment that will leave you speechless.
This gives us the opportunity to create unforgettable tours for every kind of bikes. We can choose between the easy and wonderful itineraries on the roads through the crest and valleys of the Apennine mountains or put our wheels in the service trails perfect for dual sport and big enduro motorcycles or go in full enduro mode with rides that can cover up to 8000mt in altitude difference in a single day.
La Ferrera is not just Enduro but is a great opportunity to enjoy the peace and relax of the Apennine Mountains in a real Agriturismo with all the comfort of a nice hotel but in a real farm.

Within 15 minutes drive, you can reach the Salto Lake with his floating island or visit medieval villages that will remain forever in your memory.

Family run La Ferrera agriturismo offers the opportunity to experience the real Italy with a very friendly atmosphere. Very family friendly with farm animals (horses, cows, pigs, chicken, ducks, turkey, goats, cats, rabbits).La Ferrara offers basic, impeccable accommodation and wonderful cooking made exclusively from the produce of the estate. Do not expect to lose weight!
Claudio Ponzani who runs this place with his family also operates a wake-board station on a nearby lake, Lago del Salto. Apart from the opportunity to do wakeboarding (cable or boat), the stations offer the possibility of kayaking, waterskiing, sunbathing and swimming.

A little flavor of Paradise: great relaxing and restoring hideaway
This is a beautiful place, a little corner of Paradise and a perfect hideaway to relax and restore. Fantastic location hidden in the hills of Varco Sabino, very close to another landmark, the Lake of Salto. Little tricky to find, on a narrow road, but the quest and anticipation is highly rewarded! This a family run Agriturismo, with warm, genuine sense of hospitality. The brick houses are very nicely built. Guest rooms are essential, comfortable with independent bathroom (shower). Nice playground for kids. There is a barn with several animals (pigs, hens, rabbits, cows...) and they have horses that can be rented for excursions.Antonello P

Mountain biking excursions
If you want to experience the legendary Coppi and Girardengo adventures, we have an efficient mountain bike for you; You just have to say ... pedal, pedal ... (you will be better off knowing that when you come back we are waiting in the kitchen with our delicious dishes to console your efforts ...).
Wakeboard
In the fantastic scenery of Lake Salto there is the Varco Sabino Nautical Club. Boat excursions, canoes etc are the activities that the club proposes. But, especially, come to discover the fun of wakeboard and cable wakeboard. With the club's instructors, you can practice this exciting discipline
Free Climbing
Right next to the village of Varco Sabino, province of Rieti, was created the new cliff of Pié La Vena. Desired by a willing group of local climbers, it was authorized by the Municipal Administration which gave ok to the nails. For now, the lengths you find below have been fitted.
Horseback Riding
Riding in the enchanted forests of oak, beech and chestnut trees in the natural reserve of the Navegna and Cervia Mountains, it is definitely a unique and unforgettable experience.
Hiking
Contact with nature becomes complete when we go on the innumerable paths that the reserve offers us both in its botanical and floristic appearance, changing in the colors of the seasons.
